Centro Medico Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center in MacArthur Park, Los Angeles. Its dental program is where the Health Bridge family story runs end to end: Optimize Practice Alliance rebuilt the department’s capacity, and OroMed filled it with preventive demand.

The challenge

Centro Medico’s dental department was operating at capacity. Preventive evaluations were consuming staff resources and delaying treatment appointments, and the center wanted to grow from serving 14 patients a day to 20. Getting there meant transforming workplace culture, revising clinical systems and processes, and redesigning schedule management.

With the department rebuilt, OroMed’s virtual program took preventive dental evaluations off the dental team’s plate entirely: evaluations run without additional staff and without workflow modifications, freeing the department to focus on treatment. The center reached its goals within 5 months, surpassed the original targets by 18 months, and saw total encounters rise 67%.
